I really want to thank the tireless work of the staff and volunteers from Eagle this weekend. You truly did not want to give up, and made every effort to get some racing to happen this weekend despite that epic monsoon.

For those of you not in attendance, it was a downpour of liquid sunshine that I can only descibe as cataclysmic, the likes of which had been seen in the past by just one: The infamous Rae Caswell, who has seen it all. ( It's been rumoured that when God said: Let there be light, Rae reached up and flipped the switch. But I digress. ) There were some spots in the pits that the puddles were 6" deep. At one point, we watched a pair of flip flops float by between the trailers and get caught up in a back eddy. It was crazy.

Thank you again Eagle staff, it really was amazing to watch people out there at 11 PM, getting the puddles off the track.... Had we been able to race on Sunday, it would have been due to that kind of hard work and dedication to getting the race off.

Your right Andy. I noticed staff was drying late saturday night in anticipation for Sunday morning racing. Our pit sat in the middle of a 30 foot wide river. Dustys car was up to its exhaust dumps in water when we moved it. Shoes are still wet, lol. Hats off to Eagle staff and Gord Wagner.

Well said Andy, This is one of the reasons why Eaglemotorplex gets most of my racing dollars. That & even when treading water like this past weekend we still manage to have fun and a few laughs. Thank You to all the dedicated people & racers at eagle. Parkinson Family Racing.

Not to mention they were on the track first thing Sunday morning doing the track prep. Stellar job by all eagle staff. Thanks to all for the outstanding efforts.

Thanks guys, we really appreciate hearing that. It's hard fighting mother nature. I found that out when I got home to Sicamous. I'm safe at our house but it is unbeleiveable the damage that is done here. Anyway thanks for the kind words.
