Thanks everyone some really great ideas. We have looked at the posts, emails and ideas from everyone that called. How about the following concept?

It will be a day race and a double header for Zimmer points. We would love to take up Toms and Debs offer of the refer for a place for people to cool off.

You pick your teams, but you must get the list to me no later than August the 7th. Easy so far, but you can only have a maximun of 12 racers per team and you must have either 2 juniors or 2 high school or a combination of one of each! Any racer that comes to Eagle that is not on a team is not a problem as their name will go into a bowl and Saturday morning depending on how many teams we have will ramdomly be assigned to a team.

You pick the names of your teams, within reason and as spectators come into the track for the race they will be given a team number or name that they are part of and can cheer for. If we can work it out all teams can pit together.

Now for the race. It will be a team race within a race. We will do 3 hits on Saturday as usual and then go into eliminations. We will have a dialing for points on the third hit, in other words put a dialin on you car and the closest racer in each class to their dialin will win bonus points for their team. We will then go into eliminations and you will get points for every round you win. We will then do a gamblers race for up to second round runner ups at a cost of $20.00 to get in and again all round wins will bring points to your team! We will at the end of the race take all the class winners and make a team grudge race, in other words run a king of the hill race from the class winners and again bonus points for the team.

Sunday, we will do 3 hits and go into eliminations and again all team points go into effect for round wins!

Classes that we will be running this weekend [August 14th&15th] will be Pro, Super Pro, Sportsman, Snow/bike, High School, Juniors and Outlaw Door Slammers. All these classes will be on teams. Street legal is more than welcome for this race but will not be put on teams.

Lastely we will also have a grudge husband and wife race between two jet cars! We are also working on bringing a "2 SEATER TOP COM DRAGSTER" that will be offering rides for a fee. This is a rear engine dragster and the passenger sits in front so if you ever wondered what it would be like to be in one now would be the time. I will let you know more as soon as I can on this one!

What do you think? Need to know very quickly so that we can get some posters done to get the word out and for everyone to put their teams together.

It will be regular pricing for the weekend, with the exception for spectators which we will be having our first ever fox hunt, in other words all female spectators will be free!

We will continue with the August 21st weekend as a night race weekend as planned but if the team concept idea works we could keep it going for the next 3 races and do a year end award for the team. We are looking for sponsors that would like to get involved for trophies.
